Two Fellowships are available: a 1-year clinical MS fellowship and a 2-year clinical research fellowship.

The clinical fellowship program focuses on the development of neurologists with expertise in comprehensive MS care, rehabilitation, patient management and the basics of clinical research methodoogy. Full-time fellows are expected to spend at least 65 -75% of their efforts in direct outpatient care activities under the supervision of Dr. Kinkel, Neuroimmunology Section head, Dr. Jennifer Graves, Director of Pediatric MS and Neuro-ophthalmology, and Dr. Anastasie Dunn-Pirio who runs n general clinical neuroimmunology clinic. The clinic has an average of 100 total patient visits per week in 3 clinic locations serving a diverse population in San Diego County providing ample opportunity to see most conditions and their variants.

Clinical research fellows spend 25 % in clinical care and the rest in clinical investigative training which may include a formal masters program.
